Vrijdag 13-1-2012 doen Ivo, Rob, Richard en ik weer mee met de Wampex in Vledder. Een Wampex (weekend amphibie expeditie) kunnen je het beste omschrijven als een loop van ca. 30 km. waar gemiddeld zo’n 8 tot 10 uur over gedaan wordt. Men loopt met een team van 5 of 6 personen, de eerste teams starten om 17.30 uur de laatste om ca. 21.30 uur.
Men krijgt een route boekje mee waarin de verschillende routes staan. Deze routes zijn zeer verschillend en kunnen elk jaar weer anders zijn. Enkele soorten routes die kunnen voorkomen zijn: een coördinaten route, het lopen en werken met een kompas, een blinde vlek route (men heeft een landkaart waaruit een stuk mist), een striproute, een reflectorroute een smileroute. Tijdens deze routes komt men verschillende opdrachten tegen die uitgevoerd moeten worden, vaak om verder de route te vervolgen of om geen strafpunten te krijgen. Deze opdrachten zijn
elk jaar weer anders en worden bedacht door een speciaal voor dit doel in het leven geroepen Opdrachtencommissie Wampex Vledder.
Vorig jaar werd ons team 10e. Dit kwam mede omdat we alle opdrachten goed uitgevoerd hadden en alle letters en posten hadden gevonden.
