Het is bijna zover. Over 2 dagen gaan we de highlands trotseren. Iedereen heeft de spullen op orde en de stemming zit er goed in. Via deze site zullen we proberen dagelijks een update te plaatsen hoewel ik geen idee heb hoe het bereik is van onze mobiele telefoons in de bergen.
De weersvoorspellingen lopen een beetje uiteen. Maar als we een gemiddelde nemen van alle weer sites kunnen we zeker ook een Schots weertje verwachten. Dus ieder zon uurtje is meegenomen.
De club waar we mee gaan is geslonken tot 5 man: Patrick, Huib, Adam, Sjoerd-Gosse en Jean-Paul. We zijn alle 5 heel gemotiveerd en allemaal vol spanning hoe de 3 wandeldagen gaan verlopen. Ik denk dat we allemaal wel even in een dip komen maar we slepen elkaar er wel doorheen. Het is ook geen wedstrijd dus we kunnen de kilometers over de hele dag verdelen.
Als we maandag in Fort-William aankomen is het de bedoeling dat we een accommodatie zoeken met in ieder geval een douche en een lekker bed. Dinsdag zullen we op ons gemak de terugreis naar Glasgow starten om woensdag op tijd weer terug te komen met het vliegtuig.
Ondanks ik een fotograaf ben in hart en nieren heb ik het besluit genomen niet mijn camera spullen mee te nemen. Ik neem een pocket camera mee om de momenten vast te leggen. Ieder grammetje gaat toch tellen op de langere afstanden. Nou proberen niet te balen als we oog in oog komen met een Red Deer (Edelhert) 0p 20 meter afstand. We gaan tenslotte door Red Deer land.
Ik hoop dat we in staat zijn om dag tot dag een update te kunnen plaatsen anders zijn onze bevindingen zeker na onze trip te vinden op deze site.
